Six photographs mounted on aluminium 46 x 35 cm

a symbolic language created by man to support his life preservation instincts, in the face of death. It remains unclear whether these thoughts follow the 'laws of nature', or are based on the perception of those laws and their purpose.

For the exhibition, images of a meal prepared for consumption are in juxtaposition with images of heart disease, food-borne bacteria, and a gastric ulcer. The images were selected to show how man's lines of enquiry have come and gone, or persist and evolve through the theories by which food may facilitate and/or debilitate health status. >more
