This performative installation is concerned with the subject of the sexually transmitted diseases, in particular HIV, a topic which in my opinion has lately been very much neglected by most media, as the subject does not seem to have the necessary sensational or shocking effect on the public anymore.
The awareness of the dangers of HIV has declined, especially amongst younger people in wealthy countries.
This piece should function as a kind of temporary monument, including all the notions of traditions, customs, celebration and even beauty. Therefore the performance must exist as a temporary and finite thing, like life itself. >more
